Indonesian Language DLPT test prep courses are designed for students at the ILR 1+ to 3 levels
FORMATS
Hours -10, 40, 100, 150 or 180 hours of instruction.
Online - 1:1 instruction with a schedule to suit your needs
In person at our office in Honolulu at 1311 Kapiolani Boulevard, Suite 200

HOW CLASS TIME IS USED
- practicing the skills that will be tested.
- discussing reading and listening passages to understand their context.
- identifying grammatical patterns and understanding their use.
- expanding a working vocabulary by identifying and using idioms and nuance.
- becoming familiar with with the type of questions on the test.
- engaging with a native speaker of Indonesian
INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS
- use of authentic (not text book) reading and listening material such as print and video news and other media.
- material is selected for its level and its coverage of topics typically appear on the DLPT.
- recurring reference to the grammatical structure of the Indonesian language.
- discussions of the material's context, its use of grammar patterns and the nuance of its vocabulary.
- promotion of the understanding of the cultural context of the language.
- using the Indonesian language for 90% of the class time by both the instructor and the students.
OUR INDONESIAN INSTRUCTORS
Some are based in Hawaii, others on the East Coast. All teach online, some can teach in person in Hawaii, some can travel to your location.
- all instructors are native speakers of Indonesian
- together they have prepared over 1000 students for the DLPT
- individually, they have 4-20+ years in teaching Indonesian for the DLPT
- all have master’s degrees, some from US universities, some from universities in Indonesia.
